JEE Main 2021 examination is about to be conducted soon. And, are you still worried about the right preparation strategy? Chemistry is the easiest subject of the three and can really boost up your percentile in JEE Main 2021. If you have not started studying Chemistry seriously yet, we are here to help you prepare it in a very short span of time.
This year JEE has given opportunities with open hands by offering 4 sessions to attempt the test among which the best of the percentiles will be considered in preparing the final merit list.
As the remaining time is very less, it is very important that you manage the time very efficiently and do smart study. Revising through the notes that you have prepared all year comes in handy in the last few days as they help you revise effectively within a short period of time.
Do a thorough analysis of topics that are asked frequently in JEE every year. Start with revising or polishing those topics from NCERT to build confidence and then move on practicing from other standard material. Not to forget the importance of JEE Previous year questions & JEE Main Mock Test for Chemistry.
Chemistry is divided into 3 sections i.e, Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry & Inorganic Chemistry. As an aspirant, you should know that 70-80 percent of questions as usually asked from the Organic & Inorganic section. Physical chemistry questions are usually less in number, but that doesn’t mean you should leave it. It can be put in less priority in the remaining days and focus can be turned upon organic & inorganic portions.
Start with those topics for which you are very sure about or the topics which have gone through previously and have some knowledge or idea about. This will help you boost up your confidence and you can mark them in your list as completed.
Then, jump to those topics or concepts which you think you can understand and implement well.
If you actually want to see your score increase, you have to attempt one JEE Main Mock Test on a daily basis. As they say in cricket you can’t perform well if you haven’t practiced in the nets for hours. Solving mocks will help you revise all the important formulas of chemistry. It will also help you in analyzing your mistakes. Keep a sheet of errors that you do in each mocks and try working on them till the last day of your preparation. If you will ask any JEE Main topper, one thing that you will find common is them focusing on the importance of attempting JEE Main Mock Tests.

Here are some more important points that you should keep in mind if you are looking forward to achieving a good percentile in JEE Main 2021.
Time management: Avoid wasting time. For that, you need to manage time in such a manner that you do not deviate from the set priorities. If the focus is to prepare mathematics for JEE level, it is required that you dedicate a major amount of time to the mathematics subject, but don’t forget to keep revising mathematics and Physics as well (could be 1 hour for each).
Positive Attitude: Keep an attitude that things will be done in your favor, avoid negative thoughts because they might lead you to overthink and lest you will end up doing nothing.
Don’t skip the topics: cover the topics one by one rather than jumping on multiple ones at the same time and make a mixture of all the topics.
Take mocks: the best thing you can do to polish your concepts and make a better understanding is to take mock tests. It will give you an idea about the type of questions that can be asked and a better practice to face questions in a certain amount of time. Solve questions of each and every topic at least twice to understand the method. Go through the JEE Main mock test for chemistry.
Here is the list of several topics you can prepare at the last moment to secure at least 70+ marks in chemistry individually.
Biomolecules & Polymers
Aryl Halide & Ether
Isomerism with concepts of moles & stereochemistry.
Thermodynamics & Kinetics
Properties of matter
Try solving Chemistry in minimum time as it can save time for other 2 sections.
All the best
